How To Install Electrical Conduit Pipe In 6 Simple Steps

Electrical conduits are the lifeline for any electrical wiring system. They reduce the risk of electric shock by isolating wirings from those around them. Besides, they protect the electrical wiring from deterioration caused by the external environment.

Before we start our tutorial on installing a PVC pipe, make sure you have the necessary experience to perform such electrical wiring work. If not, let the electrician solve your electrical problem.

1. Create List Of Items You Will Need

When installing a PVC pipe you will need a variety of things like wire clips, zip ties, bends, tee, coupling, bend, etc. Different electrical settings have different requirements. You can brainstorm the items that will enable your installation. This way you avoid multiple rounds of buying different items that are needed during installation.

2. Map Out The Wiring Route

Mapping out the wiring setup is the initial step for any electrical installation process. It enables you to estimate the length and items you will need for the electrical setting

3. Measure the Length Of Conduit Pipe You Will Need

After you have determined the electrical setup, you will have the required lengths for the electrical conduit you will need for the given process.

4. Make Bends At Appropriate Lengths

While molding the electrical conduit pipe in the direction of the electrical wiring setup you need to bend it at appropriate lengths. In this case, you can also use the bend. However, a continuous conduit makes it easier to pull off the electrical wirings.

5. Clamp the Pipe

In case you are doing open wirings you will need to clamp them at the required route. You can make use of saddle patti to firmly clog them. 

If you are doing open wiring setup, you will need to clamp the electrical wiring setup to the required route. You can use the saddle to affix them up tightly.

6. Pass Out The Wiring Onto It

Finally, run the electrical wiring through the entire length of the conduit pipe as needed. Make sure there are enough electrical wirings at the opening ends of the entire setup. Otherwise, you’ll need to make unnecessary wire connections to add length to the wire required to make the connections. This makes the entire setup more prone to electrical failures.
